Training, Qualifications & Experience
BACKGROUND
I trained as an integrative psychotherapist, drawing on Psychodynamic, Person-Centred and Cognitive Behavioural approaches. I began my clinical work within a well-established counselling charity in the heart of Taunton, where I developed and deepened my therapeutic practice.
During my time there, I was supported and shaped by a number of highly experienced practitioners, which allowed me to grow not only as a therapist, but as a person. Following my BACP accreditation, I stepped into the role of Clinical Recruitment Officer, where I had the privilege of mentoring and supporting trainee therapists as they developed their own practice. With years of experience behind me, I have evolved a way of working that feels authentic, relational and attuned.
After many years experience, I now integrate a range of therapeutic approaches, with a natural leaning towards psychodynamic therapy, helping to uncover the patterns and experiences that shape how we relate to ourselves and others. As a therapist who works with deeply rooted trauma, I went on to train as an EMDR practitioner at the Alexandra Richmond Institute in London, this training is approved my EMDRIA and enables me to support clients in processing trauma and moving forward in a more adaptive and empowered way.
